Hi... My name is Mrs. Brady

My lifelong dream was to become a teacher.  I attended Winthrop University because it was known as a wonderful "teacher school" and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught kindergarten for 2 years, 5th grade for 21 years, and I am now enjoying my 7th year in the library at Palmetto.  I absolutely love my job!!

The most important focuses in my personal life are God, my husband, and my children.  I have been blessed to have three wonderful children; Misty (34), Matthew (31), and Mason (22).  I live in Easley with my husband, Scott Brady, and my youngest son, Mason, who is a senior at USC completing his degree in education.  Misty, and her husband, JT, have 2 beautiful little girls, Abby (8) and Andi (3), and an adorable son, Harrison (6).  Matthew currently lives in Tennessee and is enjoying bachelorhood.  My family means more to me than I could possibly express on this page. They are my true joy in life.

My husband and I are members at Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Easley.  It is my joy to worship and serve our Lord.  I have been very blessed to have been able to go on 16 mission trips so far: Costa Rica (5 times), Idaho, Florida, Utah, Ohio (2 times), Colorado, Kenya (3 times), Thailand and Nicaragua.  Mason and I also had the joy of going on a pilgrimage of the Holy Land (Israel) with a group from Mt. Airy Baptist Church in December 2017.

I love adventure!  I've been snorkeling, skydiving, hang gliding, ziplining, tubing, white water rafting, parasailing, hiking, and spelunking (cave exploring).  I hope to learn to scuba dive soon.  My husband and I enjoy going on waterfall quests where we hike to various waterfalls in the upstate area.  When I'm not adventuring somewhere outdoors, I love to read!!  Of course, the ultimate is spending time with my family and close friends, especially when they are joining me in the adventures. My favorite part of all events is just simply having hours of endless laughter.

I most recently attended The University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where I earned my Masters of Library and Information Science in 2015.  I have loved teaching in the classroom and now have the amazing joy of teaching every child in the school.

Overall, I would say that I have been so incredibly blessed in life.  I love life and feel so fortunate that I get to spend my days here at Palmetto Elementary with such wonderful children!
